After a 1700 kilometre road trip, I arrived with my brother, and father at the Westin Hotel - the location for BrickWorld, on Wednesday. The event itself did not get under way until Thursday. The Sydney Opera House took over an hour to set up, but my remaining creations went relatively quickly. There are still a few creations being assembled, though they should be completed by this evening for the public day tomorrow.

With school work, it took quite a while to get around to this, but here it is: http://lbrickart.googlepages.com/chessset

Merry Christmas!
December 25th, 2007
It is that time of year again. I got 532 nm (green) laser pointer; it's pretty awesome.
As I mentioned in my first post, Robonautica happened at WPI a short time back. The event was great, pretty loud though. One team came wearing headphones to block out the noise; part of me wished I could do the same. I got a free t-shirt and pizza. Overall, it was a fun day.

And the blog works!

That didn't take long. Beyond the problem of finding out how to make a blog in the first place, I encountered problems integrating it nicely into Google page creator. I really like the service, and a lot can be done with it, but it can be somewhat tedious. I used an iframe for this, which works pretty well, but I was unable to edit the page again after adding it, meaning I'd have to recreate the entire page if I decide something should be changed.

News Page Added!
December 5th, 2007
I've just added a news page to the website! Whenever something gets changed on the site, it'll show up here. I'll also use this space as an opportunity to discus projects I am working on or will be working on, and possibly turn this into a blog once I figure out how to do that. So what's going on now you ask? Well, what with school I haven't had much chance to work on Lego projects (or finish all the pages on the creations I do have for that matter). Over Thanksgiving vacation I participated in M.I.T.'s F.A.T. chain reaction. I haven't found a video of this years online yet, but I'll post it once I see one, and possibly make a page for the contraption. Coming up in a week and a half, college application decisions come out, as well as the WPI's Robonautica First Lego League Competition (Also see http://www.firstlegoleague.org/) at which I will be volunteering as a table referee. I did this last year, and judged/refereed at another FLL tournament this year. Today I received an email from someone in France about my Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte mosaic. He seemed to like it and posted it on his site: frogsmoke.com. The site contains many interpretations of this piece of work among other things.
